Sion Careers and Pathways
Careers is a lifelong process, that involves individuals navigating their way through their learning and work activities. The development of an individuals pathway is unique with diverse personal characteristics and life experiences.
The Careers Domain aims to build relationships with students through the development of the Career exploration and researching into post school destinations as the students progress through their schooling.
The Careers resource area is located in the Notre Dame building, providing students with up to date careers resources and information. Students are encouraged to visit the area to pick up their personal information and arrange a time for an interview with a Careers Practitioner. Parents are also welcome to attend the interviews.
All year 12 students have an individual appointment. Students may make appointments at any time of the year, usually during study periods, before or afterschool or during lunch break, as to not impinge on class time. All year 10 students and their parents are encouraged to make Careers Appointments during Term 2 following the vocational testing and in preparation for subject selection. Year 11 students are also encouraged to make individual appointments when required.
